Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with
College Clarity is the legal business name of the seller. College Clarity (also referred to as "College Clarity", "we", "us", or "our") operates the College Clarity website and application (the "Service"). When you create an account or purchase a subscription, you are entering into a legal agreement with College Clarity. You can reach us at hello@collegeclarityworld.com.
2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. Who can use College Clarity
College Clarity is intended for high school students, their families, and educators. If you are under 13, you may only use College Clarity with a parent or guardian's permission. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any purchase on your behalf.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Keep your password secure, provide accurate information, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Your content
Essays, notes, and other content you create in College Clarity belong to you. You grant College Clarity a limited license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party models.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use College Clarity to submit content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights. Don't attempt to break, probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security, and don't reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute it.
7. AI features
College Clarity includes AI-assisted tools (feedback, brainstorming, chance estimates, application review). AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Treat it as a suggestion, not authoritative advice, and always verify admissions data, deadlines, and requirements with the school directly. You are responsible for what you submit to AI tools, for having the rights to any content you upload, and for how you use the output. We may filter, restrict, or refuse outputs that violate these terms.
8. No guarantee of admission outcomes
College Clarity is a planning and research tool, not an admissions service or guarantee. We cannot and do not promise that you will be admitted to any college or university. Admission decisions are made by institutions based on many factors beyond what this tool can see. Do not rely solely on College Clarity for your admissions strategy; always verify information with official college sources, school counselors, and other trusted advisors. You are responsible for your own applications, deadlines, and decisions.
9. Clarity Pro subscription, billing, and cancellation
Clarity Pro is an optional paid subscription billed monthly at the price shown on our pricing page. It renews automatically each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel, and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. You can cancel at any time from the billing link in the app or through paddle.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. We may change subscription pricing with advance notice; changes apply to billing periods after the notice.
10. Orders and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
11. Not affiliated
College Clarity is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Common Application, the College Board, or any college or university.
12. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your subscription stops renewing and you may export or delete your content.
13. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee admission outcomes, deadline accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free availability.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, College Clarity is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll post a notice in the app or by email.
